[The residents of 1246 Williams Road, if they are home, may hear a thud as a very startled someone falls out of the bed that is most definitely not his. After a moment wasted sprawled on the floor and gaping at his surroundings, Firo dashes out of the bedroom to find roam the house and search for his captor(s).]  

Hey! What's goin' on here?!

[He moves through the house throwing open doors willynilly.]  
 

[Action]

[Firo's wandering Mayfield, alternating between a frantic trot and a dumbfounded stroll as he tries to get his bearings. Numerous times he attempts to confront a drone for more information, but quickly leaves each one after a frustrated and confusing conversation. After one such talk, he stomps away from a cheery neighbor and imploringly asks the heavens: ]

Is there anybody who makes sense here?

[Growing steadily angrier, he stalks about the town, not noticing that he's walking in circles. 

Point that out to him? Point and laugh?

And because finding yourself in a strange place eliminates any need for manners, you also may find him peering in the ground floor windows of various homes to try and find out just what in the world this place is.]

[Rise's wondering about town too, getting used to it herself, when she notices Firo. She giggles a bit before approaching him.]

Hehe. Hi! Are you new here, too?

[The sound of a normal person's voice causes him to visibly jump. For a few minutes he just stares, wondering if it's too much to get his hopes up that this person will actually be helpful.]

Hi... I-I dunno. I think I might be lost.

Lost, huh? I'm pretty new here, but I can try and help you if you want me to.

[He smiles. Whichever it is, it doesn't matter.]

I'd really appreciate help. Can ya point me back to Manhattan?

[She giggles.] I'm lost in a way, yeah. I just woke up here recently out of the blue.

Oh, is that where you're from? I'm sorry to tell you, but there's no way out of here. This is Mayfield, and you're stuck here. There are lots of us like you, including me. You woke up in a strange bed and a strange house, yeah? Sadly, that happened to almost everyone here.

[He stares for a while, unable to take that all in. Then he crosses his arms and frowns at her. It's a little frightening that she knew the exact situation, but maybe it was just a lucky guess.]

Funny, I almost fell for it. Now, seriously, lady, just gimme the directions.

[She pouts a little and kind of stomps her foot in frustration.]

[Her conviction makes him a little less sure that it was all a joke. But it's still too much to believe.]

What makes you think I'm dumb enough to believe any a' that crazy story you cooked up? Are you gonna try and prove any of it ta' me?

Like I could make something like that up!

Prove it? Hmph! Fine. Watch, if you walk with me to the end of town and try to leave, we're going to end up on the other side. At least, that's what I've heard. Let's test it out, yeah?

[Inwardly, he falters. If she's actually trying to prove it, that means she's telling the truth. And that means his Family is going to be really annoyed when he winds up missing.]

...Fine. Show me.

Okay, come with me! [She ventures to edge of town, making sure he was with her the whole time.]

Ready? Come with me. [Rise walks forward in a way that should have let her leave town. Instead, she ended up way on the other side. She blinked a few times before grinning in triumph.]

[Firo hesitates and then follows her. He takes a cursory look at his surroundings and that enough tells her she was right.]

H-Huh? Oh, well... [She bites her lip.] Yeah, I guess I'm not really happy at all. I just liked being right, but when I think about it, I'd rather be wrong.

Mmhm. Almost everyone, anyway. Those really annoying people you were talking to before? Those are drones and they think that they, and everyone else, have been here forever.

The whole situation is really confusing, really. A lot people have told me a little girl is behind all this.

It's Japanese. If you don't like it, there's my stage name, but I don't think you'd like it much better. [Giggles.] Well, it's nice to meet you, Firo. Um, I don't think I could say your last name, hehe.

Ooh, haha! Sorry, I guess I should have worded that better. I meant, year and...well, universe might be a better word, if there's anything interesting about it. I mean, I'm from Earth, too, from the year 2012. It was pretty normal where I came from, except me and my friends went inside TV's and fought monsters to save people from death, to put it simply.

Oh, where I come from, I was an idol. I was a singer and an actress and all that. Hehe, I was pretty popular. The stage name was just a gimmick. It helps me sell better when the fans have a nickname to call me, you know?

[She giggles.]

There's a long story behind everything. You don't want to hear it, trust me.
